Scammer tries to scam us twice

My husband and I where looking for apartments and a scammer said he owned an apartment building, he wanted $1,675 over cash app. I felt uneasy and hubs went digging and we found the apartment complex office manager, and they have never heard of the guy who contacted has the Zillow listing. We blocked the number, then 2 months later he tried again under a different number. We only registered it was the same guy because of the name.
