I can kinda sew, but all.my dresses are modified t tunics basically... it's not a strength and often find it frustrating.
There's also the issue of garbing my partner. And if he wants to do something like Roman or Japanese, I've never made those items, and my research skills are rusty....
ETA - i've been in for probably 8 ish years, though not active for the past few because of pandemic and grad schoool. I've made most of my own garb but its on the simpler side. As much as I want more accurate flemish/german garb I don't think I have the patience to make it, and the cost of such things is a bit high so its hard to want to fork over that much when I have other things to think about (student loans, saving for a house).... Hoping to go to an event again June '23 and bring the partner to see if he likes it. Hoping that its still enjoyable for me too, lol.
