My local group has one heavy specifically ( call him dbag), that has made me disheartened about finishing my armor and jumping in the Frey.

Well dbag was at a recent practice I attended to ask questions and watch differant forms of fighting. He made a comment about my armor (plastic lamullar) not being good enough for taking hits. Dbag also spoke like he was the biggest thing since sliced cheese in regards to fighting.

I left the practice almost immediately after this interaction (and haven't been back since) but the whole time dbag was running his mouth, I almost wanted to say 'f#ck the armor, f#ck the helm. Let's go with swords now....' I didn't do that, but chose to get my kit finished and I'm gonna take him on and try knocking him down a peg or two.

Is this attitude the norm with heavies? Or is my case a more isolated situation?
