I’ve been playing a Conn 10M (prewar RTH) for a few years now and there’s a lot I really like about it, but part of me also feels like it’s not the saxophone for me, allow me to explain:
The sound has TONS of character, beautiful Intonation is great Middle / low register is unmatched Naked Lady Engraving Shiny
Super picky on mouthpieces Altissimo is bad Maybe a little too dark/tubby Ergonomics not terrible but could be better Super soft/ comes out of adjustment easily Relacquered
As willing as I would be to sell it and buy another tenor, part of me feels like just owning one of these (even without playing it) is too significant to pass up, though I feel like I could get more enjoyment out of something else; what do you guys think?
