as people seem to regard him as a kinda sadist and he does show signs such as listening to Recordings of his victims screams in Saw 6 and also his smile when he sees that Erikson is still alive after having his neck slashed and he pours the Gasoline on him and burns him alive.

but then there's also the weird character trait he has that seemingly contradicts this like how he appears squeamish to violence on other occasions first example is just as his sister's killer is being cut in half by the trap he looks away in shock.

tho this could be excused as it being the first time he'd witnessed something this gruesome first hand but then there's other examples like him closing his eyes seemingly in disgust as Peter Strahm is being crushed to death.

and closing his eyes again when Jill Tick is killed by the Reverse Bear Trap so yeah overall it kinda confuses me as on the one hand he seemingly enjoys people's suffering but on the other he also doesn't and finds extreme acts of violence shocking and disgust worthy.
