3-4 days in Saudi after Umrah?

Assalamualaykum... I'm doing Umrah around Aug 12th inshallah and want to spend a few more days around Saudi. I was thinking about renting a 4x4 and going on a small road trip up to the desert and to the beach. I know it'll be pretty hot but I'm ok with that. I'd love to camp in the desert or go horse back riding. Any recommendations and am I crazy? Lol
