I've always had the mindset that any ritual, ceremony, prayer, meditation or mindfulness practice all work the same way:
To psychologically change your mindset and set your intention towards your goal.
The end result is a product of your mind being focused on this and unconsciously influencing external events.
Just thought it'd be an interesting discussion topic?
