Made a post about a month ago asking for advice in terms of wear to stay and safety in the city. I appreciate how much advice and straight forwardness I was given and when asking questions regarding neighborhoods and tourist attractions.
I do remember many people saying that Republica is not the best place to stay and will admit I took a half approach to this by staying on the literal edge of the neighborhood. I assume from staying here I should do three things
- wear basic non flashy clothes and hide cellphone as much as possible
- take Uber (especially at night)
- do not use Tinder or Grindr until I arrive in Buenos Aires
I also read up that weekdays are safer since its more business professionals and not as many tourists. I did read on "hoodmaps" that Sé has many kidnnappings. I assume staying away from meeting people on apps is the best bet.
