I’m not trying to be a jerk, but many of these local restaurants just don’t deserve to remain in business and we can’t save them all.
I treat myself to lunch once a week at work. Today I went out, got a club sandwich and a coke, with tip it was $23.
It was probably the worst sandwich I’ve had.
Barely any meat, soggy fries and small.
I get that the place’s costs have gone up, but the food is not worth the price.
Also, feeling obligated to tip when the servers just sit on their phones cause they’re slow doesn’t sit right. Didn’t get a refill, only saw the server 3 times. To bring menus to bring food and to bring bill.
I’m not speaking for all restaurants, but for many it’s time to let them go, they aren’t worth the cost. Just going to eat at home more.
4th Street Deli makes decent sandwiches for pretty cheap.
Ike's is always solid.
The bahn mi from Simply Vietnam is delicious and cheap. There's an even cheaper spot on SR Ave.
"Places to eat" is literally in the sidebar as a discussion topic, go away.
