Volunteer and social justice work/organizing in SC

Moved here about a year ago from the mid west. Now that I am getting familiar with the place I’m looking to get back into the community work I used to do before my move. Where do you go to find out what’s going on in the community? For eg I would have loved to go help out with the repainting of the BLM mural but only found out about it after the fact. Any leads on volunteer opportunities here?
