This is the second time I've had a, not even the same, bartender come out after me after I paid my tab and left.
I didn't tip.
first time was because I was literally there for 15 minutes and they took my order, handed it to me, and then gave me my bill. I coulda gone and got my own food and shit would have been exactly the same.
this time, dude even started off hella rude, this isn't even the first time. I order the same drink almost everywhere... a few places react funky, and I'm use to that... either they have one ingredient to the drink on tap and the other on can or both in can. at first they say no, I confirm they have the ingredients, than we both reach the consensus that I'm buying both at once.
its a simple thing some bartenders just struggle with.
this guy has done it TWICE to me now, maybe three times but its been more than once, both times almost exactly the same process. I even told him this time "we've had this conversation" and they said 'ya, I'm remembering that now' and finally just made my freaking drink.
it starts with him saying 'no, we cant do it... we dont have the ingredients." then I confirm they do actually have them just not on tap... then maybe there's some resistance on their end as I said it sounds like they do... eventually they tell me they will have to charge for two (or I decide I'm not emotionally available to let them run the course and I just tell them to charge me for two, end results we get to the end result of charging me for two right away).
at the end, he found out I didn't tip, what the fuck did he expect, he was rude. than he absolutely redeemed himself by asking if I was going to put a tip first and when I said maybe if he remembers... than I will next time... just for him to turn around and quietly, but angrily, say maybe I this and that (I didn't quite hear but it was clear he was bent). I told him, "maybe...." and he angrily takes the receipt, says more, and walks off. I slam the rest of my drink and walk out.
then... HE WALKS OUT AFTER ME!!
pretty sure if I went left instead of right he would have chased after me cause all I hear is a smacking sound... like someone clapping their FIST into their palm.
I turn around and see HIM standing at the corner I turned,... pounding his hand while sorta watching me and sorta looking around. just, wow. fucking wow.
I ain't tipping them, EVER. hell, if I see them and not one of my actually favorite, GOOD, bartenders I may just leave. just, holy fuck wow.
