How does public transportation work in SF and how does it differ from NYC?
Post Body
I’m moving to SF for the summer for an internship. This last summer, I did an internship in Manhattan NYC, but lived in Queens.
This was really nice because I could have non-manhattan rent prices (2700$) and the train ride to grand central was only 30-40 minutes total. I loved taking the subway, so this was no issue for me at all.
I haven’t done much research, but considering that SF has <1M people, I wouldn’t expect them to have as robust of a subway system as NYC.
So I guess my question would be, if you live outside of the city or even like 30 mins away from downtown, how would one get to/from work? In NYC, the train stop was 10mins walk away from my apartment.
