Hey, I just got to spend a few days back in San Francisco since I originally walked the city for a day before covid hit.
This place is really fucking cool, I need all of you to appreciate how colorful everything is. Being in SoCal, every building is painfully grey/beige, just getting to walk around so much kind visual stimulis was uplifting to my overall health. I stayed in a hostel down in tenderloin, I was admittedly nervous at first given the area, and within 10 minutes of arrival i was immediately propositioned an obvious stolen bike, but everyone i came across were kind and decent. If theres anything that really struck me in terms of culture, its that I didnt see a single unnecessary fence or no trespassing sign. Im an urbex explorer and am used to having to sneak my way around just to get some good views or relax in a cool spot, but i don't think i actually broke the law once in my 14 hours of walking through the city, thats fuckin nuts compared to down here where the smallest deviation from the beaten path is walled off with gates and wire. Additionally, your hippies look like 70s hippies and not just dreadlock bros. shoutout honey honey, shoutout grace cathedral, and shout out DNA lounge. shit was cool.
