Recently took Lyft and one of the screens on the backseat now allows in-car tipping. The suggestion was a minimum of 20%. Of course can go lower with custom tip or $0. Do ppl here actually tip >20% for your shared rides? I feel like the driver is living in a different world. Am all for supporting small local entrepreneurs. Am someone who would have no qualms choosing a human driver over a driverless taxi even if the price is more expensive by a dollar or two but there will be a limit as to how I’d consider the options. If I’m able to get a Waymo that costs less and doesn’t require a 20% tip, that’s definitely hard to pass! What do ppl think?
