Is it ever too cold to swim/snorkel La Jolla Cove ? Wanting to go but wanna pick the most enjoyable day

Visiting San Diego for about a week and was just wondering the best day to visit La Jolla Cove. I don’t mind getting a wet suit but just debating if it’s worth waiting till it gets warmer next week. Would love to hear some locals thoughts on it, thanks !
