HelpSocial is hiring! HelpSocial brings customer care together with social media so businesses can provide a unified customer experience across all channels of communication. We are looking for Software Developers. Successful candidates will be expected to have a number of responsibilities.

We want a strong software engineer who is passionate about large-scale systems. We care about producing clean, elegant, maintainable, robust, well-tested code and enjoy collaborating with others to come up collectively with the best possible solution. You will have experience with performance, scalability, and reliability issues of large 24x7 systems.

You'll be helping us develop software that directly affects customer's happiness with companies they interact with online. We love technology, and we are always on the lookout for new tools and ideas to enhance our product and processes.

Requirements:

• Experience building complex systems with high performance, scalability and reliability requirements
• Ability to write modern PHP and familiarity with Laravel or Lumen
• Ability to write JavaScript and comfortable with React or Angular
• Experience writing software backed by strong unit and integration testing
• Familiar with Git and the Linux command line
• Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the team
• Extreme comfort with the Linux command line interface
• Relevant post secondary education, or equivalent industry experience

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed data processing system (Kafka, Storm, Spark, Shark, Akka, Hadoop, others)
• Strong knowledge of ES2015 and onwards, and eager to use new Javascript features in production
• Comfortable using TypeScript
