Streaming Issues on TV

Samsung TV

Apps like Hulu, HBO, Amazon, Netflix all work fine on my Samsung smart TV. However, websites struggle with a log of lag. About every 10-15 seconds, it lags for about 1-5 seconds. The part that stumps me is the same movies stream perfectly fine on my laptop.

So far I have:

Unplugged the tv and modem, waited a bit, then plugged both back in.

Paused the movie for several minutes to allow film to load. Once I did so for 30 minutes and still no luck.

Is there anything else I can try besides using different websites/services?

I am unsure why these websites are so much more difficult to stream than movies on apps.
