Group chat issue

I am in a group chat with other android users and occasionally I am mysteriously forced to leave the group without ever doing that myself.
Then, once I start chatting again the group gets my messages but I don't get theirs.
I change the RCS settings to only get SMS from these people (I can't change group settings but I'll change each individual's settings on my end), but nothing works.
Help?
