How crazy are your samoyed puppies?
Post Body

We have been in discussion with a breeder to get a samoyed puppy for almost a year now, but while we waited, we decided to foster. This is our second ever foster and first puppy (~2.5 mo, 19lb (!!) when we got him) and we are at our wits end after just one week from how crazy energetic, people loving, and smart this puppy is (potentially a belgian malinois mix). We have very little experience with puppies overall and I just wanted to ask/get confirmation if this level of crazy is the norm for puppies/for samoyed puppies specifically?

For reference, our foster puppy is from a litter of 6 (not sure how the other fosters are doing), and we spend about 20min out of every hour from 8am-7pm, playing/exercising/cleaning up after the puppy (he now knows sit, down, paw, and working on leave it (very food motivated)). He is still working on crate training, capturing calmness, bark inhibition/separation anxiety, somewhat potty trained (pee pad outside while he is not fully vaxxed). Since he naps a lot during the day, he sometimes won't fall asleep until 1-3am, only to be up at 5am and 7am, whining/barking for potty and then wanting to cuddle after while he bites his chew toys/our clothes (we do get up and leave if he bites inappropriate things but he doesn't quite get it yet).
