The reason, at least in my opinion, that The Mandalorian was so good is because it was set in the Star Wars Universe, but it wasn't particularly "important" (for lack of a better word). Some of the best episodes were when he just went to some backwater planet, or was breaking into a prison ship, and the consequences, while important for our characters, had absolutely no bearing on anything on a galactic scale. It was just so damn refreshing to see what was essentially just some dude going out on adventures.
But it looks like all these characters are getting introduced in season 2 (such as Rex and/or Boba Fett, Ahsoka and now Bo-Katan). Now this in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can very easily make the galaxy feel very small and/or thrust the Mandalorian into some plots that are pretty important.
Maybe I'm just being super negative, and it could be really awesome to see all these characters, but all I've seen are people getting uber pumped at the news, and surely I can't be the only one worried, right?
P.S. Is it weird that all these people, who were most relevant during the Clone Wars, are popping up in a series set after ROTJ. Like, how spread out can you make their arcs without it being dumb?
