Marrakesh - suitable for porteur bag loading?
Post Body

Marrakesh - pictures of others mostly show low-rider front panniers. I am wondering whether anyone has tried or has sufficient geometry knowledge to evaluate using a mid-size porteur rack and either single large bag or a stack of bags?

I don't see any issue going light bikepacking rig, or full normal touring rig, but the porteur big bag system has some appeal for moderate use. I can just set it up, but that's work someone has likely already done!!

Thanks

Note: Sala responded: Thanks for contacting Salsa! Apologies for the delay in response as we are working through higher than normal ticket volumes. To your question, the Marrakesh is not designed to accept a porteur style rack so we can't recommend using one.

As for the weight limit, the bike is an ASTM condition 2 bike meaning it has a max cargo weight limit of 55lbs. and we recommend spreading that out between the front and rear. We find that distributing more weight to the rear usually helps the bike feel more stable under load.

Also, thank you for the feedback, we're stoked to hear that your Marrakesh is serving you well!

Please let me know if you have other questions,
