Hopefully this isn't too sexually-focused for this sub.
I've heard many anecdotes of sex being more physically pleasurable for trans folks after typical vaginoplasty, the ones involving rearranging of the penile tissue. Beyond simply the benefits that alleviation of dysphoria provides them. Some people online say this has to do with the concentration of nerves being in a smaller exposed area.
I'm leaning toward pursuing a penile-preserving vaginoplasty but I don't want to later feel like I missed out on experiencing something more, because tbh I'm not super fussed about keeping my natal genitalia as-is or not.
Does what physical pleasure one is able to achieve markedly increase (typically) after a penile-preserving vaginoplasty, too? And is there any reason theoretically to suspect that it would be likely to be even greater with the rearranging of penile tissue into a clitoris?
I also realize this is very YMMV and probably can only be measured in anecdotes but I'm curious to know if I'd be 'missing out' by choosing to keep my penis the way it is and sometimes worry over it.
