Object Oriented Programming general question

Post Body

OOP is one of the common requirements in Salesforce Dev job offers. However, in my experience (I work as Junior Dev) you can know only total basics of OOP to be able to code in Apex (understand private/public, static/non-static, constructors etc). My questions are: - How well should I really know OOP to be a good Salesforce Dev? - Where/ how can I really learn OOP. Because just knowing the definitions doesn't take me anywhere. I feel I would need a solid series of exercise, but there is no such thing for Apex. Do I need to do some solid Java OOP course, since there is no such thing for Apex? Isn't it like shooting a sparrow with a cannon?

Any advice would be appreciated
