A conversation I want to have because the most I’ve been paid to sell anything has been 30% with cutco knives.
After that, 20% 7-10%, and currently 4% for a company with an average ticket of $4000. Pretty dog shit but I’m not starving at least.
Seriously, where does the rest of the money go? Does it just vanish? How many of these cocksuckers running these massive companies pay out even close to what they could really afford to? 4%? Jesus man. In a first world country I’m bitching about not getting paid enough, but I really wonder who’s the really money maker here?
Is it truly the sales people or always the people at the top who convince their sales teams to work hard af for little pay compared to what the owners make.
EDIT
also, I’ve always succeeded in sales roles. I simply wonder who’s really getting the opportunity:
the salesmen or the business owners brainwashing their people to work for them like they have the greatest opportunity. Maybe I’ve worked for the wrong companies, but I can’t help but wonder where all that money goes
