"The project ask is for you to create an outbound sequence, with our company as your target prospect company. I have included a PDF with this email that outlines what the sequence context is and an example of what your sequence can look like" (basically they want a 8-10 step sequence with call & email & other outbound aspects)
"Even if you don't have traditional sequencing experience, don't worry! We're more interested in getting insight into: how you research and learn, your creativity, and your attention to detail. All of which are important for BDRs."
They said estimated time is around 2-3 hours but I say it can be more tbh especially their company being super niche.
Do you think this is a fair assignment for a SDR role in a mid-market company which has a whole cohort of SDRs especially after just first interview? I don't think this assignment is fair - first of all, the company is not a start-up and it's semi big, so no way I would have to write a sequence from scratch when typically that's SDR manager's job or maybe even AEs especially in my first few months - after half a year or a year, sure. And there should be a lot of sequence out there I can reuse and reorganize within their outreach. This is a total waste of my time.
I am leaning towards not doing the assignment - what about you guys? Would you do it?
