I am not new at selling professional services, but I am new at selling IT services. I'm considering a position with an IT firm specializing in managed services, IT capital planning, and help desk services, among other things. They seem to be a progressive company, keeping up with training and are SOC compliant, which seems to be a big deal. The company's primary market is in my top 5 Metro area with a MCOL for my family. They have just grown organically and their last business development officer failed because he didn't work. At all. I want to succeed. The company is currently sourcing HubSpot Leads. The company is looking for professional associations in the accounting, finance, insurance, dental, fidicuary and banking sectors needing high security IT capabilities. What particular organizations or professional associations would you recommend for networking and growing the business? Bottom line, how can I maximize my efforts in securing profitable IT managed services contracts in a large metro area?
