He was put on a PIP last month. It was unachievable in my opinion. Anyway, he is days away from missing his goal and there’s no way he can hit it now. My boss told him that he could put in two weeks notice and receive February’s pay as severance and for some reason, he didn’t realize he’d been fired. He thought he was going to work through February and get another chance at the PIP goal. I had to tell him he just got fired. It sucked balls. He’s a nice guy with a family to support, young kids, too. He’s just a little dense and he could have been in denial. I’m not really asking anything I guess. Just venting. What a shitty day. Hope ya’ll are crushing it.
