B2b selling - friends and family?

I just started a new job (b2b) and my friend’s business is a good match for what we do. He’s a great prospect, but I don’t know how to approach him. I feel so uncomfortable asking for a meeting. I’m much more comfortable cold calling than I am selling to friends and family. Any advice?
Update: it seems the consensus is do not sell to friends and family, so I won’t. It just feels so uncomfortable anyway. Thanks everyone.
