I am thinking of taking 6-12 months off and wanted to get feedback from hiring managers and from other AEs that may have done this on the potential risks of doing so.

Post Body

I am still super passionate about sales but I am also a workaholic and approaching mid-life I think that I need and have earned a year off to focus on personal development and take a breather.

I am a top performer with a long track record of success. I have made P Club 4 out of my last 6 years and the two years I missed I still qualified and finished in the top 10% but they had limited the number of reps they accepted to the top 7%. I would have no problem getting references from numerous managers at my current company.

So the question for hiring managers would be if someone like myself with a provable track record came to you would you have any concerns about hiring me?

And for anyone who has done this what was your experience in getting a job after your planned hiatus?
