Hello,

Just wanted to know how Saint Paul safety compares to other cities. I did a Google search and got a confusing range of answers from very safe to very unsafe. I want to move there to go ice skating and don't have a car so would either bike or walk to the rink. Are there neighborhoods that are more suited to this near any rinks? I was looking at Pleasant Arena area but am open to suggestions.

My main goal is to find a city with decent rent and affordable skating while looking for a remote job or one local to whatever city that ends up being. I want it to be safe enough where I could walk as a small female with heavy stuff early morning and I really don't like gunshots or gang fights or drugs or even cigarettes. I had a health condition that made it impossible to exercise for 5 years and athletic injuries before that so I would like people to be understanding of the situation before making snarky comments.
