I've been sailing for about 3 years, my father joining in last year. After borrowing club boats more recently we've been borrowing another members Lark and Lazer as unfortunately he cannot sail them himself anymore due to age. Last weekend he told us he'd been considering selling them and if we would like to buy them as he knew we would take good care of them and had been looking to buy our own , £250 each! After a bit of thinking we of course said yes :) I cannot thank him enough for the opportunity, as even though they're both very old ,they've been very well looked after and he could have easily sold them elsewhere for much more. Earlier today I raced the Lazer for the first time and got my best ever positions 2nd and 3rd, he also gave us a second set of sails for each and helped us move the larks road trailer. I still can't get over how kind of him it was and honestly cannot thank him enough
