Becoming strangers again is the most painful thing...
Post Body

When you spend so much time and energy on loving someone and knowing them and caring about their life and their success and their happiness... you can spend so much time dedicated to that and then one day you just... don’t anymore. Maybe it’s because of an emotional disconnect, maybe the relationship isn’t balanced, maybe it’s just because you weren’t meant to be romantic partners. And then you have to move on and forget their place in your life and pretend it doesn’t hurt that you will never get to see their successes and where they go and who they become.

And even worse is understanding that even though it hurts like hell to have them disappeared from your life, it’s better that way. Or it will be, anyway. Eventually. When it stops hurting quite as much.
