My very abbreviated thoughts:

Girgs is gonna be the best draft pick we've had since Vanek.

Datsyuk is amazing at hockey. Jimmy Howard is good but can you imagine if Detroit had Ryan Miller?

Miller was cool headed and capable if not excellent. I know he's likely gone this year but Neither Enroth or Hackett can fill his shoes and I bet he gets the nod during the Olympics....I'm so stoked for the Olympics. Anyway, We will feel his absence when he leaves.

Foligno's absence was felt. The whole dynamic of the top 6 and special teams is drastically changed without him and Armia to some extent.

Everyone hates on porter (and to a lesser extent Flynn) but I think Kaleta-Porter-Flynn is a 4th line to be reckoned with.

I think Larsson will be suiting up next game cuz I hate mcormicks dumb face.

Weber is quickly becoming a beloved Sabre to me. Pysyk's game reminds me of Lidstrom. I know he's injured but I'd rather see Zadorov than Tallinder or Myers.

Otter wasn't very ottery tonight. I hope he doesn't feel hampered by the C.
Then again Detroit knows all about him and is probably not very susceptible to his charms.

Whatever, I'm a a bit of an apologist but I think if the brass has drafted "character" players as they have alluded to then this team can only get better. A hard fought 2-1 loss to the wings gives me hope so bring on the fucking Sens.
