Looking for a Ryobi rotary tool to add to my tool library, but having difficult time deciding.
A few things I'll use it for 1) Sanding (I refinish antique furniture, having a small tool like this will help to sand the fine corners/embellishments). 2) Wood Carving - beginner. 3) Sharpening - Hand tools/knives/etc.
I like the FVM51 for the rechargeable and changeable battery, portability and the idea of adding the hobby station to my shop in the future really intrigues me. (Having the router capability, along with the hands free wood carving, as well as the drill press). I am a bit worried about being underpowered.
I like the TVM01 for many of the same reasons as above, plus the additional power. I don't like that it has an onboard battery.
The PBLRT01B is also quite intriguing. Good power, brushless, I also like the ide of a foot peddle, seems that may be helpful at some time. Not sure how I'd like the chord, seems less portable and would take more set up to move tasks. Also doesn't fit in the hobby station.
Can anyone help push me one way or the other?
