Im looking for somewhere to move on the east coast and RVA checks a lot of my boxes! However im a young single woman and safety is a concern of mine. Im moving from outside the Philadelphia area and I wont move there because of the crime. I like areas like the fan, museum district, downtown and carytown. I need walkability as i do not drive so suburbs I usually cannot do. Would I be generally safe walking and taking public transportation in the city? Is that answer different at nighttime? Are home invasions an issue? Thank you for your time ☺️
