For context for you non RU24 guys, because we got screwed over by Covid Rutgers gave us free iPads (via partnership with SHI) if you weren't international.
It was to "ease your transition to college by offering another means of connecting to the campus community and your coursework."
When they first announced these iPads, it was said that the Rutgers Device Management Profile could be removed on the website but when people (me included) tried, it "cannot be removed" which contradicted the Rutgers website (yay RU screw). They even went back and changed what it said on the website to reflect it as such instead of y'know letting us remove the profile as originally advertised.
Now, this really hasn't hindered anything in terms of functionality but it's still be nice having a free reign iPad that doesn't have an external admin with management control over it, especially if we really aren't tied to that organization anymore.
Do you all think Rutgers will finally allow us to remove the device management profiles (original discussions on this 4 years ago had some people theorizing they might allow us at the end of our time at Rutgers) or will this be a lifelong RU Screw?
