Out of the blue, I decided to get fitted for contacts today for running. I really wanted the transitions contact lenses but after talking to the optometrist, it didn’t seem like something that would work for me. That said, I am going to try some normal contacts. I get my first trial pair on Tuesday!
I’m curious what people like to wear for vision correction when running. I typically wear my classes with a chord, but it gives me a headache and I forget it all the time. When I forget it, I typically have to hold my glasses onto my face because I can’t see things like steps, bumps in the sidewalk… or trees on some occasions.
I also have questions for contact wearers- do you wear them just for running and wear glasses the rest of the time? Or the opposite? Does sweat/sunscreen get into or under them?
