Post Body

Hi all,

I recently got highly motivated to get fit again and I started by jogging around my area about 2km. But it was very inconsistent, i then was able to do the 2km quite frequently. So i moved up to 4km and I was doing pretty well. In the last month I was able to run 5km daily, however towards the end of the month I got really bad pains in my feet, right shin area and pelvis/hips. I managed to do really well for one of the weeks doing 5km in 21:40 as my PR. And that week all my 5km times were 22 minutes or less, but ever since then i have slowed down basically at a pace of 5 minutes per km and I need advice i feel terrible that I'm slower I want to still be able to get around 22 minutes daily. I realised I should take up stetching since I used to just wake up and go for a jog then come back, shower and get on my computer for work.

Questions

  1. Is that goal not possible? Continuously getting near my PR
  2. What do you recommend to help my pain? Like actual stretches or routines i can follow
  3. Any advice to improve my pace? I really want to get near to a friend that can run a marathon with a pace of 5:30. I know I'm still a bit away but i want to get there

Please advice me
