Iām running a 10k this weekend and my target time is sub 42 minutes.
I ran my first 10k on March 17 at 45:48 but that course had a lot of hills.
I run about 15 to 20 miles a week which usually includes a 6 mile run and several 4 mile runs, always with long steep hills.
My Garmin is predicting a sub 42 minute 10k and this course is flat so Iām optimistic.
Any pace management recommendations?
My last race I just found someone a little faster and chased him while trying to keep my heart rate between 150 and 165. I feel like I got out a little too fast and could have had a better time if I had a pace strategy.
