So for the last two days, I've been getting this really sharp pain on the bottom of my right foot. It's along the bottom of my right foot, more on the bottom-right side of my foot, if that makes sense.
I first felt the pain yesterday afternoon. I live in St. Louis, and we just had some pretty brutal tornadoes Friday, so I was cleaning up debris yesterday. Felt great all day, when out of no where the pain hit and I was having trouble walking. It lasted until I went home and just stayed off it for a few hours, then it started feeling a little better. This morning I felt great, no pain at all. I got about 2 miles into my 9 mile run, when I went from feeling no pain at all to the sharp pain again, and cut the run short. Feels the same as it did yesterday now. I don't remember doing anything to strain it yesterday, so I have no idea why this is coming completely out of no where, or why I felt nothing this morning until I tried to run. Even now, it doesn't hurt. It feels a little tight, but no pain. It does hurt if I try to walk though.
Any idea on what this is? I ran track for years and never experienced anything like this before. I would go to a doctor, but I'm a poor college student with no insurance and no money to pay out of pocket. I have good running shoes, so that shouldn't be the issue (they're brand new). I don't think I have any problems with my running form either, as they hammered good form into us during my track days.
To make things a little easier, I found a horrible foot drawing online and circled the area where the sharpest pain is: http://imgur.com/5LohfXP
