Issue:
Adding treasure hunter unlocks to oddiments store for a cheep price will absolutely KILL any future promos, and treasure hunter entirely since the items won't hold as much value, and therefore buying keys for a gamble will not be favorable.
Solution:
Here me out, make oddiments tradeable and then put old "discontinued" Treasure hunter unlocks(previously obtained through tokens) on the oddiments store for a compareable price in oddiment cost to tokens.
Changes:
*Make oddiments members only, any existing oddiments on both f2p and p2p accounts would be turned into old oddiments which could not be traded to other players(as is currently), they could be used in the oddiment store and would be used up first before your tradeable oddiments. *New oddiments would be obtainable in place of the old ones on p2p accounts from treasure hunter or from trading other players. Free to play players would receive old oddiments to prevent alt farms/bot farms that have loads of oddiments already from selling them, and prevent them from abusing the system in the future(nothing changes for f2p). Though maybe F2P players can purchase oddiments from other players, but cannot obtain them through treasure hunter.
Economic impact:
*Stop massively discounting treasure hunter keys, stars, and lamps, atleast not to 50-75% off, but 10%-25% could be there occasionally(gp/xp at 99 using a lamp would cost 349gp/xp with no discount, assuming oddiments had a value of 10k). Currently, you could buy a bond for 25m and pay 1666k per key if you redeem it and nearly always get atleast a small lamp or a star(not even including medium or large), with no oddiment discounts, it would cost 3m per lamp at 10k/oddiment, so it would actually be cheeper(as already exists in game now) to buy bonds to max out a 99-120 than to use oddiments if made tradeable and discounts were removed. Treasure hunter keys would have a theoredical value of 4.5m at 10k per oddiment(450 oddiments/key), meaning that bonds would have to reach 67.5m before oddiments were better to use to buy keys than bonds. If it became more profitable to use oddiments to buy keys than using bonds then it would be at a net loss in oddiments(as it currently is in game). If oddiments fall too cheep, skills can be bought for faster, and more reasonable prices than traditional methods, which alone would keep the price around 10k. If oddiments become so expensive, 50k ea for example, then it could become profitable to use a bond on an alt account for daily spins, which would drive bond prices up, but in turn it would not become profitable to do this because if a treasure hunter only oddiments account was paying for its membership, then in turn any main account could choose to cash out oddiments every time and sell those oddiments to buy their next bond.
Potential issues: *** Since there are free to play alts that farm lots of oddiments(to spend on later promos), make it so the old oddiments, which f2p players will receive, cannot be used to buy treasure hunter keys anymore for both members and f2p (this should be done to f2p even if oddiments dont become tradeable). This would insure that players cant farm f2p oddiments and then bond their account and spend the oddiments, on members worlds to get tradeable oddiments, and sell them for a profit.
Fixes:
*Puts a ceiling on token prices/unlocks and allows more players to obtain them while keeping the price of these walks at an appropriate price.
Disclamer: I dont own any walks, but I do own tokens that could be effected in the future if they got put on the store for only a few thousand oddiments.
