Make bonds universal in both osrs and rs3.
A bond costs $6.99 usd for either rs3 or osrs and gives you membership for both games. Make the bond pouch universal so that if you have a bond in your osrs account, itâs also available on rs3 and vice versa.
Pros: - Gold sink; When you buy a bond in one game, you have to make it tradeable to sell it or âswapâ it in the other game. - Allows players who enjoy both games safely transfer gp from one game to another. - Gold swapping websites that RWT the gold go out of buisness. Sites run on 20% margins per transaction currently, bonds would make transfer costs 10%. - No more getting scammed trust trading your gold. - Bonds already share near identical price action at a consistent osrs:rs3 rate. - $6.99=$6.99, bond=bond. - Doesnât effect the economy of either game other than the bond price. - People can already buy infinite bonds for either game as long as their moms credit card can handle it.
Cons: - Puts gold sites who employ people in third world counties out of a job, could be a pro depending how you look at it. - Currency flipping, though this wouldnât change much with the existing 10% bond trade cost, it would be practically no different than normal bond flipping. - Bond prices might fluctuate more in price at first and may rise a few percent overall, but there is technically an infinite amount of bonds that can be in either game. - Considering the above âliterally noneâ
This is a INTEGRITY issue. Swappers make billions of gp which they real world trade.
It could be made so that only trade-able bonds are universal, so with each transfer gold would be removed from the game you are moving the bond from. This would be done so gold is sunk from both games at an even rate of 10% instead of being able to choose where to make it tradeable.
