Of course this is the one time I'm not being overly-cynical... I'm sitting in the abyss minding my own business, and someone comes up asking if they can have my spot. I was trying to be nice after someone said that they wanted my spot because they have their clan avatar. They offered 12m which was the initial red flag. Then I noticed they have no clan avatar. I ask him where it is, he says he calls it when he finds a free area. I knew it was bullshit but then he said "I go back to the citadel and get it once I find a world." At this point I knew he was scamming but I went along with it so he wasted some time. I said nah you're fine just take it. He goes to the middle anyway and I'm like screw it, I have to bank anyway.

...So he of course teleports and says "Guess the spot is mine now," and so I know with 100% certainty it's a scam. I turn off my private chat and here he comes into my clan chat. Banned him. Second random guest. Banned her.

So, moral of the story, if you are training in the abyss, if it's too good to be true, it's a lurer... and if you have to hop worlds make sure you leave your clan chat temporarily or if you have the ability to kick people, kick any guests you don't recognize for the next 10 minutes until you can get back in.

**I posted this in hopes people would see it, know what to look for, and be a little more of a cynic when it comes to people while they are in the abyss.

Quick edit: Mods asked me to remove part of the post, and would just like to note that the lurers have changed around what they are doing to get people to leave - just stay vigilant and don't leave the abyss for any reason unless you planned on leaving anyway and not going back immediately**

OH! And right before I went to submit this post he found my world and I got a screenshot of his conversation with some guy who "anti-lures" and is probably in on it.
