My friends told me about botting and how easily they could get away with it. This was about 3 years ago... Recently I tried to bot my way to 85 WC from 78 and stopped at 85. The following day, I got a message saying that my account was permabanned. It was heartbreaking. I have been Runescaping since I was 10 (yeah I cheated the age) and I was a member for 3 months back in 2010.

I still log in time to time to check my stuff and relive the memories of the account(before the ban). I know I most likely won't get the account back since JAGEX doesn't read appeals for the permabanned accounts. RS is still my favorite MMO to date and it's heartbreaking to see a character I put time and effort to go to waste.

On a side note though is levelling up fast now? I plan to create a new account to try to relive the glory days.

Also the account isn't really like 8 years old actually... It's supposed to be a spiritual succesor to my original account. My classmate got it banned so he gave me another one with similar stats. He called it the 'spiritual successor' to my original account. Surpirsingly I recovered the original account after 1300 days...
