I was actually in Fiji last week and went along to the Nadroga vs Namosi final in Nadi. It was awesome and the talent of the two teams was quite amazing. I got to hang out with a lot of the team and met a few of the RWC squad too. The Fijian's really feel like this is their year, and are excited to be able to perform in such an intense pool. Instead of simply having the goal of making the quarters like previous RWCs they firmly believe that making the quarters will make them a serious contender for a semi. They believe they have one of the best backlines in the world and that forward pack is the best they have ever had.
I was amazed at the confidence in how well they will do and now will be putting my money on an upset win against England in opener.
Where you think I am crazy is I think they will finish on top of the pool of death. Hey we have seen some pretty crazy things happen at the world cup. I am just really writing down my thoughts now so I can say "I told you so" when it happens :)
