Noob looking for training advice

I played in a touch rugby game yesterday and instantly fell in love with the sport. My background is cross country and the last 2 months I've been training like a bodybuilder to put on mass. I gained 20 lbs and currently sit at 185 5'9. I had a lot of speed so they played me at the wing. Would it be a good idea to continue my ppl routine and add some sprint style workouts such as plyos and hill sprints after leg day? Just need help with structure.
