ppl getting 50 upvotes in the main sub with the take 'this just proves rightoids cant handle their free speech!' when if anything this proved the inverse, liboids cant handle a free speech zone that doesnt bend to their tastes toe the line on hot topics
feels like the end of the online rs subculture, 🚬 as it was at times. really makes you think
to be fair it was a long time coming but at the risk of sounding like a paranoid schizo i’m convinced the main reason was because it was one of the few subs that didn’t fold to the coconut lady astroturfing. i’ve been approving n-words and f-slurs for ten months straight but they only decided now it wasn’t ok? like i’m sure it wasn’t helping, but it all seems awfully convenient. there was not really a big difference in reports the month or so before, but I did see massive uptick in random front page normie accounts that had no previous activity in rs subs parroting lib talking points to the point where they got stuck in the spam filter. but maybe i just have a persecution complex lol
wow i can’t believe u/gregsboatshoes was right all along
someone definitely was but it happened fairly regularly so it’s not like it was a new thing or that was the reason it got banned imo anyways

im sure that didn’t help either, but that was par for the course and honestly i’ve seen far worse way back. i guess you could argue that it all built up to a ban but I think it was pretty clear from the beginning that nothing would change and we allowed pretty much anything short of spam and doxxing, so why now?
