zoomers have made selling clothes online a nightmare
Post Body

iā€™m currently in the process of trying to sell about 2/3 of my closet on what i guess you could call swedens version of depop. i feel like iā€™m being very reasonable with the pricing, generous even as i just want it gone but the amount of low ball offers i get from these pesky little e girls is baffling. and when i do get a somewhat reasonable offer and accept they just ghost!! wtf!!! half the time they donā€™t even message anything of value, they just send messages saying ā€œcuteā¤ļøā€ or ā€œwow prettyšŸ’žā€. even worse is when they ask if itā€™s still available, like the ad is still up you rtard obviously itā€™s still available??? why are they doing this?? are they just so deprived of casual human connection they have to gaslight and lead me on to fill the void somehow? can someone explain this??

yeah at this point iā€™m just putting up ads for more expensive brands and designer items but idk if even thatā€™s worth the effort

they should make mini iq tests disguised as CAPTCHAs that you have to complete before pressing send

the site iā€™m using will automatically mark it as sold once a user has bought it, all transactions take place in app. even then, the most annoying part is that 99% they wonā€™t even respond to me saying itā€™s still available.

plick is free of charge or fees and has a safe payment option with our version of venmo. like i said, maybe thatā€™s how it works on other sites but not the one iā€™m using

it feels like some people want to make it as convoluted as possible just to get human interaction or something. like bitch i just wanna sell some clothes i donā€™t use anymore!!! the sales i have made were super fast and easy, thereā€™s literally no point in even responding to messages or offers because theyā€™re never serious.

maybe thatā€™s how it works on actual depop but iā€™m using ā€œplickā€ which is like the swedish version of that. once something is sold it automatically gets removed as all transactions take place in app.

how do the depop resale girlies do it?šŸ˜©

I have a lot of really nice vintage items that i donā€™t really use and arenā€™t necessarily worth a lot, but theyā€™re so cool and in such good condition iā€™m just gonna hold on to them cause i canā€™t bare the thought of some grubby zoomer ā€œupcyclingā€ it for a tiktokšŸ˜©

we have really good shipping options in sweden so you have to id yourself to pick up your package as confirmation, as long as you make sure to take pictures of the items and itā€™s condition before the company will pretty much always side with you.

thanks for the tipšŸ™how does the shipping work on eBay now? can i buy it through them?

[not loaded or deleted]

i just feel like thereā€™s not that big of a market for it in sweden, even at heavily discounted prices itā€™s difficult to find a buyer. people who can afford it rather just buy new i guessšŸ«

yeah the problem is that we have to kind of estimate the cost ourselves and itā€™s always different depending on which country youā€™re sending to :( itā€™s super easy within sweden but iā€™ve always had issues when shipping internationally

iā€™d accept that if they ever got back to me after i responded but itā€™s literally never happened
