listen - i know that “dimes square” discourse has been dead for years, but that doesn’t change the fact that red scare is undeniably a product of that scene, for better or worse.
when i think back on it all - the heyday of cumtown and RS and chapo and all those insufferable regards - i remember feeling like something meaningful was MEANT to come out of it. some kind of… something. something tangible. more than a podcast.
i was convinced that all those substacks, all those podcasts, HAD to amount to something. it felt really cool to be a part of, surely, it had to go somewhere! (it didn’t)
but now, that heyday has been gone for years. cumtown’s dead, RS sucks now. most people still hanging around are just holdouts with nowhere else to go.
it’s SO odd to me. it’s dead now. the scene is over. anna and dasha wasted all their Thielbux on adderall and clothes. TAFS bombed. and there’s nothing to show for it all.
feels like we’re in an alternate timeline where things didn’t go as they should.
No lol but I have my own podcast and it's actually getting quite popular already. My friend Nicole (on a recent ep) will be on it more often with me, I have guests and have eps on my own too. People from here keep telling me they are listening, that's nice
Links in my profile, you can search sick lit girl on whatever podcast app you use. Most people seem to use spotify, here's the link for that: https://open.spotify.com/show/7b1ag4sRQsm1aZyLL8KrO3?si=0e708b2b57f04e4a
