I have been rolling it around my head if I wanted to tell this story, but knowing that the people involve will never know I thought it be fun to share my one of few horror stories.
To give some background, this story takes place during my 10th grade year of high school, around 2016. I have always had a interest in fantasy and roleplaying, but never had a chance to explore those interest in something like D&D until I was able to pick up a copy of the player's handbook at a video game convention. Acquiring the book, I read that thing front to back over and over until the spine started to get damaged. I knew I need to play it. The only issue was I had not play it with. My folks were weird about anything fantasy at the time due to religion stuff, and my main group of friends were not the rping types. Unsure of who would be interested, I looked in the only place where a lonely nerd could look for like-minded people, the school band! I was apart of the school band at the time, so I knew some folks to ask about playing. After some attempts, I was able to get three players. The only player who is important to the story is the tiefling warlock.
Now as this game was my first dming, I wanted to keep everything simple and easy, doing what I can to ease everyone into the game. After starting a group chat with the players, I gave them some resources to learn the rules of the game and a list of options to pick from (class and race). Once they made their choice, I made everyone a beginner character sheet with useful tips for playing the game. (what does everything on the sheet mean, when to roll checks, etc.) At first, everything seemed fine. I had the players make very basic backstories to keep things simple. Our problem player private message me their backstory for her character, a male tiefling warlock who father was a devil that he is disconnected from. At the time, I didn't see anything wrong with it, a classic character trope for both the race and class, through there was a comment or two that was odd looking back. Warlock would make it known to the group that her character was a twink. Sadly, this was the first sign of Warlock's unhealthy "attraction" to gay men.
This bothered me at the time, as I was a closeted gay man, but I didn't know why it was bothering me at the time.
Moving to the first session, we all agreed to meet at the local park to play as none of us could drive and our families were very Christian, so any fantasy is a big no in our community. Getting to the park, I get everything set up with the players and explain the game. I gave everyone a free set of dice to take with them. Once we are all ready, I started the game.
I really don't remember what the adventure was too much. Something like "kobolds attacked locals, please help." What I do remember was the hook for the quest. The party was exploring the countryside when they hear the noise of combat. Rushing to investigate, they find a young man in his teens fighting off a small group of kobolds. The party saves the teen and ask him what happened. He explains that kobolds have been attacking their town and the adults were doing nothing, so him and his friends wanted to go off and defeat the monsters. They, however, were surprised by the kobolds on the way to their den and the teen's friends were killed. During this whole explanation of this grieving teenager talking about his dead friends, Warlock keep trying to hit on him. I said out of character to her that he is not in a state to even process what her character was trying to do. She "joked" that I was being homophobic for not letting her Warlock get with the kid.
After some more rp, the party decide to help the teen take his friends' bodies back to their village and learn more about the kobold attack. Once they are in town, the teen invites the party to stay at his father's inn for the night for helping. During the groups time in town, Warlock again tries to hit on this kid. I again tell her that he is not mentally ready for anything like this. In response to that, Warlock asks the kid if they can talk in private in a near by backroom. I didn't know what she was doing, so I had the teen follow the warlock in the room. Once in the room, Warlock casted charm person on the kid, hoping to use that get into the teen's pants. I still remember the words leading up to that.
(Teen)- "Ummm, I'm not so sure....I just meet..(Warlock) I put my finger to his lips and whispers "Shhhhhh, no need to get worried. You can trust me......"
At this point, I am super uncomfortable and I ended the session right there. No one else seemed bothered by that at the time and ever told me they were excited to play again. I really wanted to play, but if that was how it was going to go, I didn't even want to find out if it got better. So I just lied and said school was tough and i had to focus on my grades. I never played with that group again.
TLDR: Players hits on an unaged character and uses magic to try to force them into intercourse after they/I said no to it.
